Creatives Don’t Need These

Dear Creative (yes, you)

There are no “real” or “official” creatives.

There are no requirements that you must achieve in order to be creative.

You DO NOT need the following to be creative:

  • Don’t Need to be paid for your creativity

  • Don’t need to be able to draw/paint in a certain style

  • Don’t need to play an instrument

  • Don’t need to be published

  • Don’t need a large following of fans or be famous

  • Don’t need a “conventional” creative job like graphic designer, actor, screenwriter, etc.

  • Don’t need to win awards

It’s okay to want these things.

But they do not determine whether or not you are creative.

Anyone who says otherwise is either selling something, or is governed by their own fear of embracing their creativity.

You are creative, and the world needs your creativity.

xoxo
